During the Easter season I always think back on some of my favorite easter memories. The powdered sugar bunny tracks left on the carpet, the year I got the video of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Dad shook his head and called Frollo's musical number, "vocal masturbation." But my favorite memory involves one of my favorite Snyder family members, I don't remember how old I was, but we still lived in Orem and I awoke one Easter morn and ran out of my room and peeked downstairs. I saw a fluffy white tail poking out from the wall, and I assuming it was the Easter Bunny ran back to my room and waited for him to finish. I remember there being candy all over the floor so I thought that the Bunny was just sloppy or we had more candy than could fit in our baskets. But when everyone else awoke, we realized it was just our sweet and lovable Saint Bernard Casey D. She had ravaged our See's Candy Easter and we had to take her to the Vet. to make sure she wasn't sick from the chocolate. Although I received very little easter candy that year, it is still one of my sweetest memories of our family, easter, and the love pup.

Easter Memory
During the Easter season I always think back on some of my favorite easter memories. Sweet post, Jack. The love pup certainly lives on, but I can't believe you remembered my comment about Frollo. Your mom warned me you'd remember everything I said even if you didn't understand it. I told her that he'd appreciate me even more when he got old enough to understand everything.
How wonderful to pull up your blog and see a picture of Casey Dee :)! I actually just recounted that tale for Alex the other night. I guess I should thank you for not including the fact that I'm the one who didn't close the door to the garage tightly enough. But I WAS hurrrying to General Conference, so you can't be too mad :). I still, though, feel guilty (my favorite emotion) about ruining the Easter the Bunny saw fit to go to See's candy. :(
Travis told me this story (I love hearing it from little boy Jack's perspective). It's fun to see a picture of the famous love pup. I'm just used to Travis's impressions where he puts a paw on my shoulder, and breaths out of his mouth while having "shifty eyes".
I also have to add that I have been torturing Travis with classified ads of people needing to get rid of their St. Bernards. It kills both of us - someday maybe we will be lucky enough to have a love pup in our little family.
Well done jackson... I took that photo and developed it in my high school photo lab.
Casey was always a good subject.
Recently I have found a nice running trail down a dirt side road that backs up to some houses. I was running on it the other week when I heard a familiar deep bark.
It was a snuggly st. bernard pretty similar to our love pup. Since then I pat her over the fence going both directions. She sees me coming from a long way off now.
I miss Casey Dee
I love that picture.
Travis does do an excellent imitation of Casey, Heidi. You may even be a bit disappointed if you ever get the real thing.
Casey, just like Ben, was incredibly photogenic.
