Black Friday

I just wanted to give all my concerned family and friends a little comfort. I weathered Black Friday really well this year. Given that Dillards takes itself too seriously to do anything more than open early, the store was not a madhouse, I sold a lot of product but never felt stressed, and finally lunch was provided for me. In fact the day went so well I stayed two extra hours later than I needed to. Even the days following have been fairly low-key but profitable. given how terrible a job retail can be at this time of the year, I figure i need to celebrate that the "worst shopping day of the year" was actually one of my better days at work. I also think I need to mention that I get the five days after Christmas off to go to California, not only is that great news for me and the family I wish to see; but also because I do not have to be at work on the big present return days. For once retail is not so bad!

Happy you survived...even happier I get to see you after Christmas!! Hopefully, Hamilton and I will be as accomodating as Heidi and Luke were three Christmases ago...

Black Friday went pretty well for me I must say.

trivia:
Can anyone validate this? I heard it is called Black Friday because it is the first day of the year that most retailers are out of the black in terms of balance sheets. Not because it is dark and forboding.

wow. I would say that qualifies as a miracle considering I barely survived that horrid day last year...and yet where did you find me this year on this cursed day? yup. shopping at macy's with my mom. The other miracle...5 days off at christmas time. I can't wait for the snoops/sissin reunion.
